My name is Dan Rice and I am the CEO / Founder of Dan Rice Photography. I photographed my first wedding 15 years ago. Growing up my family was full of artists. My grandmother was a painter, my brothers are mixed media artists and my father a photographer. My father handed me down his Nikon film camera at age 10. My first years of photography were spent in the darkroom, always working on a new series inspired by the people and places around me. After 6 years of on the job training at a premier wedding/ portrait studio, I Started my own photography business in Portland, Oregon in 2006.
My commitment is to make sure that from beginning to end, you are more than happy. I personally handle all of the customer support, photography, editing and album design. From the planning stages to your final products, I want to make sure you are receiving my personal high-end standards. Standards that keep raising with the evolution of styles and equipment.
My style is often described by clients as natural, crisp, fun, creative with a timeless feel. You can expect an exquisite mix of candids of you and all of your guests, as well as stylized artistic shots, formals (photographed quickly and professionally), and many details. My goal is for you to look at your images 50 years down the road and feel they are still amazing and free of gimmicks.
It is very important for me to show you I am technically savvy, creative, and personable. I am happy to offer an engagement session at my risk. If you love the images, then you book my services. If for some reason you don't love the results, there is no cost to you. It is a perfect way for me to prove my quality of work.
Before your wedding day arrives, we will have completed all of our preparations. We will discuss the time-line together to make sure the photography goes smoothly. There are so many moments to know of and anticipate. I am an energetic, tactful and professional person. I strive to capture each moment, details, and guests as well as my stylized photographs to help preserve the memories of the day.
I look forward to hearing more about your upcoming wedding soon.
