When this family contacted me to capture their family together during their vacation in Cannon Beach I was excited to help. With a great weather forecast it turned out to be a gorgeous evening and a golden sunset. Enjoying the convenience of meeting at the steps that lead to the sand behind The Hallmark Resort. Easy access and stunning views of Haystack Rock close up. It was fun getting to know everyone and explore the beach together. There is such an amazing variety of scenery to work with. From tall sand grass, trees and mountains, to the shore and of course the sea stacks dotting the shore.
Spring brings a wonderful time of year on the Oregon Coast. Not only for photography, also preparation in the garden at home. My kiddos enjoy the longer days and projects in the yard. Especially jumping on the trampoline. It’s just before the summer rush and a nice mixture of photography and family time. We have been germinating seeds this year indoors to maximize our vegetable yield. We even had a chance to plant almost 100 bulbs in a garden bed together. Collecting “nature” has always been one if my kids favorite outdoor activities, besides running around the beach.
